The most useful machine in your house and kitchen is refrigerator that saves both time and money. Forty to fifty years ago this invention was used only in a few houses. But today this is the need of every house. This facility of refrigerator converts into a nuisance when it becomes dysfunctional frequently, or does not give desired results. Reason? Keeping it overloaded with things and open it frequently. That is why it does not freeze things neither are cooled properly. And despite keeping the food in the fridge, it deteriorates. And often the milk becomes sore. User's manuals are provided with every fridge. It has instructions about all things ranging from how to use its thermostat to cleaning the deep freezer. Before freezing put the food in the refrigerator and cool it down. Due to this the food will cool faster and retain its taste for a longer period of time. Put fresh food in a container and keep it in room temperature for a while then cool it in the refrigerator and shift it to the freezer. If your fridge has a mechanism for controlling the dampness, then use it according to the manual of the refrigerator. In this regard please remember that vegetables with leaves such as lettuce leaves require less dampness and for vegetables for peels for example tomatoes, aubergines, cabbage  and cauliflower require a lot of dampness. Vegetables should not be washed before putting in the fridge. Also do not put them in the refrigerator by wrapping them in paper packets. Paper absorbs all the dampness of the refrigerator. Many women buy meat and poultry in such packets and put them as such in the fridge or wrap them in plastic bags. This method is altogether wrong. So clean meat and poultry and wash them then wrap them in zip-locked or special plastic bags for the freezer. If you intend to preserve meat or poultry for weeks or months then put them in special plastic wrappers according to the requirement. And put labels having dates types of meat and the dish that needs to be prepared with that meat on them. Like this you will be comfortable in remembering the quantity of meat. Germs present in the air can infect the meat very fast that is taken out of the freezer. This increases acidic fluids in the meat. That is why defrost the meat in the refrigerator. Put things in the freezer in a certain order. The more it is full, the more power it will require operating. Make a list of all things that have been frozen and put it on the freezer. Or put them in the kitchen. Every time before putting new things write down the date on which they were frozen.
